P.E.A.F., in partnership with the University of Central Florida (U.C.F.), proudly presents the Certified Evidence Specialist program!

Certified Evidence Specialist Class of 2018

The Evidence Specialist Basic Certification Course is designed to standardize evidence room management and to provide the basic information required for an individual new to the profession.  It is not meant to override department policy or current laws. 

The target population are Evidence Technicians with less than (2) two years experience in the profession or Evidence Technicians with more than (2) two years of experience that have not previously received the Basic Certification.

Minimum requirements for achieving the Evidence Specialist Basic Certification:

Complete the Evidence Specialist Basic Certification Course

Successfully pass a written exam with a minimum of 75%

Have a minimum of 12 months experience in evidence room management

Attend at least (1) one PEAF Educational Conference

Remain in good standing with membership

Certification is valid for three years.  Requirements to maintain your certification are as follows:

Maintain PEAF membership every year January 1st to December 31st

Attend one Chapter meeting per year for three years Jan 1st to December 31st

 Attend one PEAF conference in the next three years

Remain in good standing with membership 

***No  additional certification class attendence or testing is required

Renewal fee is required  Notice will be sent to your email on file***
